Cleaner and more efficient technology for all

People produce waste. That is a fact of life that we cannot change, however, as a society we can change how much we produce, how we manage it and what we do with it.

People need power. That is also a fact of life that we cannot change. However, as a society, we can change how we produce it, how we manage it and what we do with it.

Businesses need to make a profit is another fact of life that we cannot change. However, far too often the deductions made before profits are calculated do not reflect social and environmental bottom lines as well. As a business, we can change this focus from a purely economic bottom line to include the social and environmental bottom lines as well.

At First London Power, we wanted our business to invest in a technology that could address the current issues of sustainable waste disposal and renewable power generation. In the Stein Gasification process, we feel we have found that technology.

Once society has prevented the generation of as much waste as possible and has optimised its re-use and the recycling of the materials it contains, we believe that the Stein Gasification process gives the most environmentally sustainable method of dealing with residual waste.

Renewable power generation brings into play a huge number of different factors and we believe that in many circumstances the Stein Gasification Process presents the best alternative. However, we will fully analyse all factors before committing its use to a particular situation.

If society is to respond to its current challenges, it will need to engage in joined up thinking by all the people involved. At First London Power we think we have already started on our own joined up thinking by turning waste into energy. We now want to engage with all the other people involved so it truly becomes joined.
